Our history
Founded in 1966, The Center for Health Care Services (CHCS) has been the leading mental health authority for over sixty years. We help people find the solutions they need to live healthy and productive lives, working with children and families at locations around Bexar County. CHCS' mission is to share hope and support recovery with a full spectrum of innovative services that promote healing and help people live life to their full potential.
Meet the leadership team
Jelynne LeBlanc Jamison
Jamison brings over 37 years of leadership experience with complex governmental organizations, including service as Executive Vice President and Chief Delivery Officer for CPS Energy and Deputy City Manager for Planning and Development with the City of San Antonio. A native of Louisiana, she holds a B.A. in political science from Southern University and an M.A. in urban studies from Trinity University.

Board of Trustees
The Center for Health Care Services operates a wide range of psychosocial and medical programs in Bexar County, and is a public entity and political subdivision of the State of Texas, deriving its authority from Section 534.001 of the Texas Health and Safety Code and, more specifically, from its Interlocal Agreement with the Bexar County Commissioners and the Bexar County Hospital District, who license and oversee its operations. CHCS conducts its nationally recognized programs under the expert guidance of its Board of Trustees and leadership team.
