The Restoration Center houses programs that help people regain control of their sobriety and transform their lives, with safe and effective substance use treatment, short-term residential assistance, and long-term integrated physical and mental health support.

Crisis Care Center
24-hour assessment and intervention for psychiatric crisis — crisis resolution, extended observation, and coordination into alternative care. Mental health warrant application assistance is provided. Walk-ins welcome.

Minor Medical Clinic
24-hour minor medical clearance for crisis and detoxification programs, plus immediate access for law enforcement to obtain medical clearance and treatment for people detained and injured during apprehension.

Substance Use Public Sobering Unit
A jail-diversion program offering treatment as an alternative to arrest for public intoxication, in a medically safe environment, using motivational interviewing to engage people and offer direct access to treatment.

The umbrella for the Center’s residential and integrated care at 601 N. Frio — substance use treatment, short-term residential assistance, and long-term physical and mental health support.
For law enforcement and first responders
Our goal is fast service delivery: to take the individual, inebriant, or emergency detention off your hands, or provide medical attention to a prisoner, so officers can get in, out, and back into service quickly. If you have an intoxicated person on your hands, an emergency detention, or an injured prisoner who needs medical attention — bring them here.
No need to call ahead
Officers can bring someone directly to 601 N. Frio St. For questions:

- Violent individuals
- Juveniles
- People who are seriously injured or suspected of an overdose — EMS needs to transport them to the nearest emergency room
